The $1 billion worth 27-storey mansion named Antilia is located in South Mumbai, India and reportedly named after the mystical island in the Atlantic, Antilla. It is a private residence of Indian billionaire, Mukesh Ambani. This massive, sky-scraping building is huge enough to call a palace, a mansion or a tower that people did not know exactly how to describe it.

What is more amazing with this Indian home is its elegant design, modern style and fantastic structure. Its lounges are classified into modern and traditional architectures detailing some touches of Indian culture.

--48,780  square feet plot of land but measures 400,000 square feet of living space.

The mansion has 600 full time staff, wheew! Mukesh Ambani, his wife and three children occupied the top floors of the building which offer a perfect view of Mumbai and the Arabian Sea. On top of that, this house is built in one of the most expensive streets in the world according to The Wealth Report, Altamont Road in Mumbai has a whopping cost of $2,336 per square foot! Perkins and Will, a Chicago-based architects designed Antilla.

Ambani amassed his immense wealth from his business empire, Reliance Industries, one of the largest conglomerates in the world  with business engagement in polyester fibres, petrochemicals, oil refining and gas exploration. He is worth $27 billion according to Forbes Magazine and listed as the richest man living in Asia (Lakshmi Mittal, another Indian billionaire already lived in London making Ambani the richest man living in whole Asia ) and the 9th richest man  in the world.

Antilla features marble flooring, fine woven Indian rugs covering almost all lounges and crystal chandeliers. It is famously dubbed as the Taj Mahal of the 21st century.
