Five Years Ago I Quit My Job To Go Full Time Digitally

It's 2026! Exactly five years since I quit my corporate job and transitioned full time to digital source ofincome (content creator for my two monetized fb pages, and content writer for my three monetized blog sites). And I've no regrets because I've never been so happier. It was the best decision I ever made in my life.

Other people, especially my family, viewed my decision as crazy. They thought I lost my mind 😂 I have an MBA degree from a highly reputable university, I have a good paying corporate job, so why would I barter a regular job for a career that has no guarantee? My answer is simple: satisfaction.

For more than 10 years that I worked in various industries, I haven't found satisfaction in my career. I haven't found joy/happiness, I felt empty all those years. I couldn't find my semse of purpose as if life has no meaning.

So I kept looking, I kept searching for a place where I could be myself, where I could have financial freedom, where I could be happier and satisfied. I relied on my talent and skills. I cultivated my passion in royal/monarchy history. I poured my energy developing a royal website.

But don't get me wrong, all the jobs I had in the past were good. I learned a lot and gained tons of experience how to navigate life soundly. But I was not happy. I felt it was not the kind of life designed for me. The wages I received were not enough to fulfill my dreams. So I need to keep on searching for ways how to achieve the kind of financial freedom I dreamt of to accomplish all my plans in life.

In January 2021 when I decided to go full time in content creation it was a risky move. No guarantee, no assurance that I will succeed. At first it was a struggle. My blog sites were earning but just enough to pay my monthly bills.

Still, I didn't lose hope. I did not quit. I did not surrender. Instead, I nurtured my dreams. I worked hard. I continued cultivating my passion. I read a lot. I did tons of research about monarchy and royal life. Soon, my effort paid off.

In March 2024, my fate changed when Facebook expanded its content monetization program to Asia, and the Philippines is one of the three Southeast Asian countries that became eligible to the program. I received an invite to join the program. And things changed for the better.

Now, almost two years into the program, my life has never been the same again. It provided me with the kind of financial freedom I thought I would never achieve in my lifetime.

I'm earning six digits (in Php) monthly and it's enough to fulfill all my big goals in life. I'm planning to make a European tour (my greatest dream) soon, and plan to buy a property afterwards.

Each minute of the day, I am thanking God for guiding my life and the way I make sound decisions, and for gifting me a unique courage and wisdom. Indeed, if you trust your will and willing to take risks and work hard, life will reward you with success and satisfaction. Just trust God, and He will reward your effort, determination, and hardwork.

Steve Jobs once said: "The only way to do great work is to love what you do, if you still haven't found it, keep looking, don't settle". So take risk don't settle for less. Hanapin nyo ang trabahong magpasaya sa inyo, and where you can find satisfaction and contentment, financial blessing will follow.

Looking back, I have no regrets for the bold decision I made five years ago to work full time digitally. It was the best decision I made with the great guidance from the Lord (because he gifted me with a sound mind and logic while contemplating the risky decision).

Earning under the new content monetization of FB is super good based on my experience and what I'm receiving monthly. It's truly satisfying!

Just be consistent posting relevant topics and high quality photos with informative captions. FB pays high if the scope of your posts is newsworthy and targeting a global audience.

I only work 4 hours a day on my page (edit photos and post), I spent the rest of the day in research, reading royal updates/Court Circular (through royal houses' official websites and socmed), or latest write ups from legit royal reporters/analysts/royal media channels through their official pages.

So to people out there who are struggling with their finances, or tired working on less paying jobs, you may start cultivating your hobbies and passion by turning it into an fb content.

Make sure your target audience is global. And don't just post random things, dapat pinag isipan ang topics, and dapat authentic, you need to check the authenticity of your sources, that's why you need to do research. Your page should have a global appeal to increase distribution across fb.

I spent more hours in research so that I will know what is the hot trend in my niche and what kind of post my audience wants. I also do page performance analysis, so that I am aware what drew audience to my page.

FB pays big to content creators who do serious works/highly informative posts. In the latest c0ntent m0netizatiom program, photos generate high earnings compared to reels/videos because "engagement/reach" is the priority of fb now, and not "views". Engagement means "likes, shares, and comments". Reach means how many people read your post for the first time.
