Brooklyn Beckham, 23, eldest son of British football legend, David Beckham, and former Spice girls member turned fashion designer, Victoria "Posh Spice", wed American heiress, Nicola Peltz, 27, in a glamorous wedding ceremony, on April 9, 2022, held at the sprawling beach-front family estate of the Peltz in Palm Beach, Florida.
It's the stuff that modern fairytales are made of - according to Vogue's caption, a beautiful bride in a dreamy, exquisite Valentino dress, a handsome groom wearing a Dior tuxedo - a truly 21st century romance unfolds.
Nicola, daughter of billionaire investor Nelson Peltz, who is also the chairman of the board of Wendy's - a global fast-food chain, and former model, Claudia Heffner, is also an actress who appeared in the "Transformer: Age of Extinction" film.
Nicola and Brooklyn met in 2019, and a year later in July 2020, when Brooklyn was just 21, they announced their engagement.
Nicola chose Italian fashion house, Valentino, to create her ethereal white gown. The spectacular dress has a long train and handmade lace embroidery. Her hairstyle was inspired by Supermodel, Claudia Schiffer's 1990s look.
Brooklyn also wore a diamond chain designed by Anita Ko, which was a gift from his new in-laws. "They were bezel set emerald-cut diamonds.” says Anita Ko, who also attended the extravagant wedding.
The star-studded wedding event is said to be one of the most glamorous and expensive wedding held post-pandemic, with a reported cost of US$3.5million.
After the ceremony, guests were treated to a black-tie dinner with the venue spruced up in seasonal white cherry blossoms, garden roses layered with peonies, petite white ranunculus, spray roses and hydrangea.
The mother of the groom, Victoria Beckham, cut in a glamorous figure wearing an intricate, embroidered lace detailing which accented the dress' sheer beauty.
The entire Beckham, including Victoria's family. flown to Florida from Britain to attend the event.
The grooms' two brothers, Romeo and Cruz, acted as best men, while their only sister, Harper, served as one of the bridesmaids.
It must be recalled that Brooklyn was the ring bearer, at four months old, during his parents' wedding in July 1999. He is doing gigs in photography and now aspiring to become a chef.
It was reported that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were invited to the ceremony but declined to attend, perhaps due to distance. Both David and Victoria attended the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011.
