Ever wondered who among your favorite C-Drama celebrities have verified accounts in Instagram?
Verified accounts in social media are those that are considered authentic accounts bearing the real identity of real people and organizations. Most often than not, these are primarily managed or accessed by its account owners.

In Mainland China, most Western-based social media platforms are blocked. It is due to the country's extreme restrictions on sharing information critical to their government.
However, although access is blocked, according to a discussion in Quora, it is not illegal to access those blocked sites via alternative means like VPN.
VPN means Virtual Private Network. It has the ability to establish a protected network connection when using public networks.
Its main function is to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity which makes it hard for a third party to track your online activities and steal your data.

Weibo functioned like Twitter. And it has now an English version for international users who may want to connect with people in Mainland China, including favorite celebrities.
Nonetheless, despite Instagram and Facebook being blocked in China, there are C-Drama stars who managed to have a verified Instagram and FB accounts.
Whether they personally managed their account or have a media team that handled their international branding promotion, it's nevertheless verified so fans can assure these accounts signify the real identity of their idols.

So how we know if the account is verified in instagram? When it has a blue check next to the name of the account handle. It means that personal information of the person or organization has been verified by the Instagram team.
