Random Questions To Quell Off Boredom While Home Quarantining

No crowd control!

Supermarket, ATM, drug stores and wet market are still packed with people without authorities controlling the situation.

Social distancing still not properly observed. A chance to spread the virus is still possible. So how can the curve of the case be flattened if the situation is like this? Hell!

To prevent my mind from yielding to the pressure, I stopped reading/watching news and just immersed in writing.

But now I'm taking a break to do some randomness like answering random questions. This is a self-discovery challenge, a getting-to-know-you sort of thing, which is a lot better than those mathematics challenge going around in the social media.

Here we go:

When was the last time you cried?
Can’t remember. Last month, I guess. Some nonsense things. haha!

Have you ever been drunk?
No. I never drink alcoholic beverages (except wine below 5% alcohol content), not even beer.

Do you smoke?
Hell no! I hate smoking, it's a major turn off.

How old were you when you have your first romantic kiss?
Never done that. I've never been into a romantic relationship, naturally I do not have a
romantic kiss yet.

Your idea of a perfect date
Walk on a beach or take a road trip to the countryside. Have a long conversation over food.

Have you ever had an online relationship?
No! I find it ridiculous and a total waste of time.

If you could go anywhere for a grand vacation for a month where would it be?

Europe! It has been my ultimate dream to travel to Europe.

What are you most guilty of?
Procrastinating. Putting off tomorrow what I can do today.

Do you make wishes to a shooting star?
Yes. Hahaha!
Grab a book nearest to you and turn to page 18, find line 4, what is it?
Steve Jobs' biography by Walter Isaacson. Page 18, line 4:  "Out in the back, near the bay, they had a fenced-in area with things like Polaris Submarine interiors that had been ripped and sold for salvage".

Are you hot?
Literally no. I am cold haha!

Are you a hottie?
I am not confident, so no is the safest answer.

What is the greatest pain you have ever suffered?
Being humiliated, some years back, but I finally moved on and gotten over it completely.

Complete this. If you think money can't buy happiness....
Then you don't know where to shop!

Are you in a newspaper?
Yes. Back in 2010 when I participated the Women Empowerment Seminar-Workshop sponsored by the Davao Bloggers Community. The event was covered by Sunstar Davao, a local newspaper. The following morning, we're in the newspaper wheew!
Why you did not get married, why you have no boyfriend? What’s your age? Highly sensitive questions that should not be asked by a normal, smart person.

Where were you 10 hours ago?
In the house, we have been locked for a month. 🙄

Look around, what have you seen?
Our cats sleeping.

Do you cook?
Yes. I personally cook my own food.

I Do by 911. It's number one in my play now. I find it melodious and sweet and inspiring. The lyrics filled with promises. Like yeah, have been waiting for that elusive "the one" for ages to sweep off my feet. And "I DO" song exactly magnifies those longing and wishes. Everything in the lyrics is just so romantic, so inspiring and full of promise. It manifests the concept of “forever”. One of my favorite lines in the song "I'll be by your side til the day I die, I'll be waiting til I hear you say I do". Woot!

Ever felt angry for the last days?
Frustrated and disappointed, yes. But not angry.

Have you found The One?
Let love find me Haha! 😜. I'm tired analyzing my destiny. What flow, flows, what crash, crashes.

When Can You Say It Is Love?
Is this question supposed to be on a romantic level? It's love when everything feels so right and just and when I find a person so comfortable to talk with. I don't have guys friends in life. I was never close to a guy before. I have spent all my life avoiding them because I waited the day I am fully emotionally matured to be in a relationship. I spent my entire life working on my insecurities. Now, I understand life better and ready for a more complex role in life. So it is love when I meet this guy and find him easy to go with and talk with. As though everything just fits perfectly. There’s some truth about the tale of Cinderella. It’s love when the shoe fits perfectly.

You prefer someone who is?
Someone whom I feel very comfortable with. Someone who is fun to be with. Easy to go with. Someone who can make me laugh. And whom I can share stories. I like smart guys. Someone who can talk anything under the sun and with substance.

Who is your greatest crush?
I remember having a huge crush on James Franco after watching Spiderman where he portrayed Harry Osborn. He has this perfect set of soulful eyes.

What's one thing you've been doing privately that you never do when in front of your friends.
I sing nonstop in the videoke! Haha! None one of my friends knew that I can sing.

Facebook or Instagram which do you prefer?
Instagram! It's more interesting and awesome. I can follow and view photos of my favorite celebrities and public figures without restrictions. And because basically, I love photography.

Any lifestyle you have that's slightly different from the rest?
I never hangout with friends in a bar or anywhere other than traveling. I don't drink alcoholic beverages. In fact, I haven't tried it ever since, not even light beer. I hate parties. I just want to stay at home and write stories. I am doing dance exercise every other day or whenever I can, to stay physically fit. I rarely eat meat, just limiting it to once a month. I rarely go to a fast food chain. I seldom eat chocolates. And I'm not into sweet food but I love blueberry cheesecake!

Tea of course.

Pizza or Pasta.
Pasta, particularly baked penne, carbonara and bolognese

Things you hated?
Smell of cigarettes and distilled liquors. And standing in a long queue.

Enough awareness on global warming and knowledge on carbon footprints. Everyone must be aware that every day we are contributing to the worsening condition of the warming of atmosphere. This is inevitable because the world is adopting a highly industrialized economy. But we can slow it down by adopting an eco-friendly habit.

What is your greatest achievement so far?
Completing a suspense novel. It's been my dream to publish a book and having it done before reaching my prime age is such a great achievement. Not everyone can write a book I know that.

I prefer a countryside living. I'm a country girl by heart. And one of my yearnings is to build a small house in a suburban or in the farm with a beautiful garden and oriental plants.

Titanic or The Notebook?
Titanic! I like epic and tragic movies. I am not really into drama stuff, tear-jerker films.

Horror or drama films?
I prefer horror, it is more thrilling unlike drama which is too predictable.

Do you like K-drama?
No, I am not into it. K-drama leans too much in formula fiction which makes its narratives too predictable. And I hate too predictable, melodramatuc plots. It bores me to no end.

What's one movie that even thinking about it can make you cry?
The Green Mile. It was written by Stephen King and was made into movie by director Frank Darabont starring Tom Hanks. A highly emotional movie. It retells the story of an innocent man charged with rape and murder he did not commit. He was unfairly put to death without retrial.

A feel-good song that you want to hear for the rest of your life.
Easy by Lionel Richie. So wonderful, so melodious and perfectly smooth. Every time I hear this song it makes everything so light and peaceful in my mind.

Extreme adventure you've done so far.
The helmet diving in Boracay. That was so scary I would never do it again.

Sunrise or Sunset
Sunrise. I find it very inspiring and motivating. It makes life smooth and soft. I always feel there's something special in the morning with a bright sun rising above. It implies a promising tomorrow.

What is cooler. Tattoo or Piercing?
None of it. I hate both.

Favorite TV Programs/Shows?
I don’t watch TV that much. Sports telecast, News, and Documentaries only. I'm not into soap operas. I prefer real stories and current affairs than those dramas.

Name a current world figure you're in awe the most.
A lot. Pope Francis, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Queen Elizabeth II, Warren Buffet. They are gifts to humanity.

An important advocacy you're very enthusiastic about.
Environmental advocacy. I always believe that the worsening condition of the warming of the atmosphere is an urgent global concern that needs immediate attention from everyone. Next to hunger and wars, global warming (one of the main causes of Climate Change) is a major problem that directly affects humanity. So we need to cooperate and do things in our own little way to slow down the warming of the atmosphere. Let's be mindful with our carbon footprints.

Do you have any regrets in life?
None. I always believe that things happen for a reason. And the road we took back then is the path that leads us to where we are today. It's the consequences of our decision. There are really events that bound to take place to bring us to where God wants us to be. I can only count lessons over those failures. But never regrets. Failures make everyone tougher and wiser. And I am a better person now. The best version of myself.

Ever been in love?
Yes. But not in a relationship. You can love someone without being in a relationship anyway. Love is not something to be bartered for. It should be freely given without asking something in return. I guess that’s the kind of love so pure and sublime.

Which do you prefer in a guy, perfect body built or intelligence?
Intelligence. What would I do with his perfect body built if he can't speak anything intellectual? I like articulate, smart guys who can discuss anything and everything under the sun, from the Fall of Troy to the melting of the glacier in the arctic. I like guys with a tremendous sense of humor.

I guess yes. I mean we are innately romantic. Even if we're not in a relationship. We can show affection towards someone even if the relationship is plain friendship. Romance is taken from the word “Romans”, referring to the people of Rome. They are perceived to be very affectionate, compassionate and intimate, and very tactile. I'm compassionate towards many things, therefore, I'm romantic. 😀

Well, maybe due to the movement and warming of the earth beneath haha!
