Bathing Fire Into Poetry: Ending Theme Song of The Flame's Daughter

Vic Zhou and Dilraba Dilmurat

Music is one of the most important technical merits in the film and TV. It sets the atmosphere of the scenes and helps put emotions into the story, which makes the whole thing more fascinating.

One of my favorite OST is this ending theme song of The Flame's Daughter, Yu Huo Cheng Shi performed by its lead female star herself, Dilraba Dilmurat, and Mao Bu Yi (I'm wondering why it was not Vic Zhou when he regularly sang the theme songs of most of his TV series).

The melody is just so heartwarming!

However, the lyrics is in Mandarin. Although I love the melody because of its calm note that signifies a tranquil Asian vibe, I did not understand the song.

So I searched for the English translation online. I got several sources but I think this is the closest. Please leave a comment if you think, this is inaccurate. 😊

Bath Fire into Poetry

Dilraba Dilmurat

People often said that even the sky and earth have their boundary.
But why there's no end when it comes to yearning?
The frost melts into words. Poems are written when flowers bloom.
Yet I am the only one who cannot do it writing.

Mao Bu Yi:

Who could gift me warm of spring when I am in the frozen winter
Once life and death have been banned
Flying swan goose cross the snow and chase the sun while create white silk
My pain stops spontaneously.
That a disloyal lover is unaware

Dilraba Dilmurat

Your constant caring words to me are something
That a disloyal lover is unaware
Attending endless events as jumping into the fire
and losing feathers almost makes me silly

Mao Bu Yi:

If I hesitate in this moment
I fear that I might just waste my life
There can't be a poem from the fire without diving into actual fire

Dilraba Dilmurat

Mao Bu Yi:

Who could gift me warm of spring when I am in the frozen winter
Once life and death have been banned
Flying swan goose cross the snow and chase the sun while create white silk
My pain stops spontaneously
Love brings joy like a thorn on my fingertip

Dilraba Dilmurat

Your constant caring words to me are something
That a disloyal lover is unaware
Attending endless events as jumping into the fire
and losing feathers almost makes me silly

Mao Bu Yi:

If I hesitate in this moment
I fear that I might just waste my life
There can't be a poem from the fire without diving into the actual fire

Dilraba Dilmurat

In this confusing chaotic word
It's hard to find a loyal lover
I can't understand why jumping into fire and lose feather to become mad

Mao Bu Yi:

Burning white paper in streams, lakes and seas
One more let me write about you
If you don't bathe in fire, you wont become a poem
If you don't bathe in fire, you wont become a poem?
