Bath Fire Into Poem: Ending Theme Song of The Flame's Daughter

Vic Zhou and Dilraba Dilmurat

Music is one of the most important technical aspects in the film and TV. It sets the atmosphere of the scenes and helps put emotions into the story, which makes the series memorable and the whole experience of watching more endearing.

One of my favorite OST is this ending theme song of The Flame's Daughter, Yu Huo Cheng Shi performed by its lead female star herself, Dilraba Dilmurat, and Mao Bu Yi (I'm wondering why it was not Vic Zhou when he regularly sang the theme songs of most of the TV series he starred).

The melody is just so heartwarming! Soulful rendition and the smooth tone reflects a relaxing Asian vibe, as though I am in a temple above the mountain.

However, the lyrics is in Mandarin. And I did not understand a thing lol! But I love the melody! So I searched for the English translation online. I got several sources but I think this is the closest translation.

Bath Fire into Poem

Dilraba:

People often say there is a border of the world that one's step will eventually reach
But how come when it comes to yearning, there's no end?
The frost melts into words.
I write poems when the flower blooms
Only I am not good in this kind of articulation

Mao:
Who could gift me warm of spring when I am in the frozen winter
Just once life and death have been nullified
While flying swan geese cross the snow and chase the sun, they create white silk
My groan stops abruptly
Love is a pleasure thorn in my fingertip

Dilraba:
Your constant caring words to me are something
That a disloyal lover wouldn't understand
Attending endless events as jumping into the fire and losing feathers
almost makes me silly

Mao:
If I hesitate in this moment
I fear that I might just waste my life
If you don't bathe in fire, you won't become a poem

Instrumental

Dilraba:
People often said that even the sky and earth have their boundary
But why there's no end when it comes to yearning?
The frost melts into words
Poems are written when flowers bloom
Yet I'm the only one who cannot write

Mao:
Who could gift me warm of spring when I am in the frozen winter
Once life and death have been banned
While flying swan geese cross the snow and chase the sun and create white silk
My pain stops spontaneously
Love brings joy like a thorn on my fingertip

Dilraba:
Your constant caring words to me are something
That a disloyal lover wouldn't understand
Attending endless events as jumping into the fire and losing feathers
almost makes me silly

Mao:
If I hesitate in this moment
I fear that I might just waste my life
If you don't bathe in the fire, you won't become a poem

Dilraba:
In this confusing chaotic world
It's hard to find a loyal lover
I can't understand why I jump into the fire and lose feathers to become mad

Mao:
Get soaked in the mountains, streams, lakes and seas
and burned within the pen and paper
Let me write about you one more time
If you don't bathe in fire, you wont become a poem
If you don't bathe in fire, you wont become a poem?
