Monaco Royal Wedding

The sovereign Prince of Monaco, Prince Albert, will wed his girlfriend, Charlene Wittstock, this coming July 2, 2011 in the a lavish ceremony before the crowd in Monaco. It was reported earlier that the wedding will be a public ceremony to be held in an open courtyard of the Palace of Monaco. There will be two ceremonies. The civil rites will be held on July 1, 2011 at the Monaco registry while the Catholic Church ceremony will be held on July 2.

The bride-to-be, a commoner South American Olympian, will wear a Giorgio Armani bridal gown. The wedding will be attended by almost all royal family members in Europe. The couple attended the wedding of Prince William last April and the wedding of Princess Victoria of Sweden last year. They announced their engagement in June 2010.

The ruling Prince is now 53 years old while Miss Wittstock is 33 years old. He has two sisters, Princess Caroline and Princess Stephanie.
